What's in a name?

Like many of life’s best decisions the starting point for this blog began in a bar. I wish we could say it was a well-planned and meticulous process but if I’m honest it pretty much followed along the same lines as the clip below: just replace bar with website, slur a few words, follow it with a round of drinks and you’ll pretty much have the birth of Avant-Garde.

Classy eh? And yes the “dude”s were included at the time. Still, something must have struck a chord because as we nursed our respective hangovers the next morning the blog still seemed like a good idea - and here we are a few months on still posting. Where we thought our total readership would consist of three men and a dog we’ve apparently been getting hits the world over and visits are steadily climbing into the thousands!!

But if you’re new it is my pleasure to officially introduce you to the Avant-Garde Experience Blog. Written by three Uni mates for a bit of laugh and a love for all things geek-chic we wanted a blog that could act as a signpost to all things awesome, with news and reviews to the things that matter and most importantly provide some much needed procrastination for all. So if you find that you’ve gone through your regular stalling routine - emails, facebook, twitter - and you still want to put off that work that you really should get done for just a lil bit longer why not grab a cuppa tea and visit Avant-Garde. We’re gonna try and keep things fresh, random and interesting with regular posts and we’ve got some exciting things planned for the future of the blog (made, ahem, once again in a bar)
